Vox Pops

Only two weeks left to enjoy the temporary artwork ’This Too Will Pass’ by Tim Scrace, installed in Salisbury’s High Street by Salisbury BID with funding from Arts Council England, to celebrate and reflect on movement in the city. Over the last nine weeks around 90,000 people have seen the work, with hundreds responding to the questions on the artwork panels using chalk.  In this video passers-by give their views about the installation.

What do people think?

The sculpture is in three parts and encourages people to move between the inter-related parts inviting them to stop and reflect.  A blog and webpage has been setup to capture the memories from each board, click below to explore.

I WILL NOT FORGET – What do we want to remember from the past?

YOU ARE HERE – Where are we currently, in body and mind?

WHAT IF WE – What do we wish to change for the future?

Interview with the Artist

TIM SCRACE said: “It has been amazing to see the sculpture and the High Street come to life, to hear the ripple of stories and to witness the daily cycle of emotion, discovery, and reflection. At a time of such change, it has been great to see people coming together to try and make sense of the world.” In this interview artist Tim gives an insight into the origins of the artwork and to how creativity and the moment are shaping his practice, SCRACE ARCHITECTS.
